Education & Volunteer Lead/Coordinator 

  • 25-30 hours working week (average) this varies throughout the year due to programming
  • Some weekend work is required to deliver programmes
  • Primary place of work is Bay of Islands but as an independent contractor remote, flexible working arrangements are expected
  • This role requires a good level of fitness, the role includes working on islands, lifting and carrying equipment as well as computer/office work.

 

An exciting contract opportunity has arisen to lead and coordinate the education and volunteering programmes for Project Island Song, nurturing the involvement of people living within and visiting the Bay of Islands area.

The role will be responsible for coordinating and leading Project Island Song’s learning and volunteering programmes. Being able to demonstrate a high level of innovation and enthusiasm to motivate, support, and inspire others to get involved in our work is essential. The post holder will need to communicate well with a range of people and will be able to demonstrate their ability and passion for people and wildlife.

The opportunity to develop and extend the existing programme within allocated budgets provides scope to meet the Project’s strategic priorities. We therefore ideally want someone who is great at both programme development and delivery.
